Hiding troops

During the purge and Kill Event, your troops need somewhere safe. Options, from safest:

Alliance Fort

The only place that can't be attacked, which makes it the place to hide troops. Your march size decides the most you can hide.

Alliance Castle

Can hide troops, but players from the same realm can attack it. How many troops fit depends on the max rally size of the castle that's hiding there.

Royal Challenge

From C30, Royal Challenge can hide troops beyond your march size. See the RC trick.

Shields

Shields ("bubbles") come in 2-hour, 8-hour, 1-day and 3-day versions.

Hiding troops in a shielded ally

If Player A is shielded, Player B can hide troops in A's castle as reinforcements. But when Player A goes to another realm for an event, Player B's troops are sent back automatically by the game.

Attack timing

TA: timed attack

Everyone arrives at the same time. You can see the planned arrival time before you send troops; it varies with your formation.

SA: speed attack

At the advised time, everyone arrives together, not by walking but by using speed-ups to get there.

Syncing a speed attack

Leaders often use an event timer that everyone can see as the reference, for example "sale event timer 13:30, we go". If the timer in your screenshot reads 13:42, the attack is 12 seconds away.

Any visible event countdown works as a shared clock.

Depending on your connection and how fast you react, select the target 1–2 seconds early to give yourself time to pick your troop formation and send.

"Only on swords"

Sometimes leaders ask for help only on swords: join in only while the battle animation is showing.

Elite mines

When people talk about RSS, "elite" usually means an elite mine.

  • Once all the RSS in an elite mine has been gathered, it takes 12 hours before a full mine comes back.
  • If you leave an elite mine unfinished, it stays unfinished for the whole alliance.
